White flowers and a white background. - May 24 - Bellis perennis
We call them “madeliefjes”. Everywhere in the grass at the moment. - May 23 - Yellow
Some yellow flowers with as background a B&W photo I just printed. Bad experience after this photo. Tripod fall down. Camera still working!! Remote transmission for flash light missing some parts, but (with help of some tape) still working. - May 22 - Chestnut
Flowers are almost gone, but the chestnuts are coming. - May 21 - Chives
Just a quick shot while making dinner. Used a flash here. - May 20 - Flower from my hedge
Picked a flower from my hedge for today. - May 19 - Viola curtisii
Couldn’t find an English name for this one. We call it “duinviooltje”, literally translated “dune violet”. Grows in the dunes near the sea. They looked so lovely with the dew in the early morning sunlight. - May 18 - Yellow iris
A yellow iris (Iris pseudacorus) in the water. - May 17 - Wall flower
Some wild flower growing against the wall of my house. - May 16 - 6 days later...
A lot of beauty of my “May 10" flowers is already gone, but I still like the colors. - May 15 - Teardrop
Made a lot a photos of this (unknown) flower lately, but there was always another one I preferred. All my photos today aren’t as sharp as I would like, but I liked the raindrops here. - May 14 - Wild flower
Needed some fresh air. Found this beauty. No idea what it is, but I like it. Added: Seems to be a “Silene vulgaris” - May 13 - Forget me not
A “forget-me-not” with as background my new (used) car I picked up today. Could use some more polish - May 12 - Bee and blue
Found a hedge with this beautiful blue flowers (and some bees). Very cropped and a full midday sun - May 11 - From my garden...
Just picked a branch from my garden, washed it and made a photo of it. No idea about the species. - May 10 - Peony
The “Motherdays” flowers I bought for my wife. She loves them. Hope I can make another one this month when they are really beautiful. - May 09 - Purple lilac
Near the (always very windy) hockey field. - May 08 - Bug on white
Another wild flower. No names yet - May 07 - Orange kalanchoe
No time for outdoor photos today but we have this plant with tiny orange flowers at the moment (and luckily my wife knew the name). - May 06 - Holly (the flowers)
Just noticed today, my holly tree has flowers. Very small, but it really are flowers. So I picked a small piece of it (it needs a lot of trimming anyway) and tried to make something out of it. Too much spiderwebs and other dust to make it really great, but that’s nature and I like it this way. - May 05 - Buttercup
It was a cloudy and rainy day. - May 04 - Nature
Made in a park near my work. Don’t know what kind of flower or weed this is, or even what the name of the bug is. Doesn’t look like a normal fly to me. - May 03 - Orchid
- May 02 - Bird cherry
Very nice smelling flowers with dew drops on a very early morning in the dunes. - May 01 - White dead netlle
It was hot today. Needed some fresh air after lunch. Found this white dead nettle (I think). Didn’t noticed the yellow guys (or girls) before I saw the photo on screen. - Apr 30 - Tompouce (or just a sad day)
Should have been a very nice Queens Day today, but some lunatic decided to kill 6 people (still 9 injured) and himself. - Apr 29 - Reflection a a painting
It’s a reflecion in an old, somewhat damaged, but still working clock. - Apr 28 - Rabbit
And there is one more. (Just getting some fresh air after lunch) - Apr 27 - Amaretto
Just a quick improvisation for today. Amaretto cookies with amaretto. - Apr 26 - Music on a bike
Spent the whole (nice) afternoon photographing beach volleyball and other activities in Oostzaan, a nearby village. It was the first time the “Ronde van Noordholland”, a yearly cycle course, was visiting this village. - Apr 25 - Almost a flower
Pruned (a part of) my hedge today, so not much time and energy for photography. Here’s a detail which is not pruned. Not sure, but my guess is this is the starting blossom of a blackthorn. - Apr 24 - Detail of a tulip
- Apr 23 - Blue weed
Some weed I picked from my garden. It was late and dark. Never too old to learn So this is a “forget-me-not”, or “vergeet-me-nietje” (in Dutch). I knew such a flower existed, but I didn’t know I had it in my garden.
